Row updating event in gridview in vb net

Text = "No Address Found." End If If Not Is DBNull(Session("Country")) Then lbl Company Country.

Text = Session("Country") Else lbl Company Country.

Unfortunatley, I can't drop the dynamic creation, as this app is used to maintain three different systems, and being defined by an XML configuration file, means that the page can be used to maintain multiple tables.

After investigation, it looks like the Selected Index Changed is not called because on the postback with update, the Drop Down List doesn't exists, therefore the event doesn't exist.

Text = "Unable To Find Date." End If If Not Is DBNull(Session("Due Date")) Then lbl Date Due. Text = "Due Date Not Found." End If Bind_Data() End Sub Private Sub Bind_Data() Using con As New Ole Db Connection(Configuration Manager. Connection String) Dim cmd As New Ole Db Command("SELECT [tbl Work Order Item]. Note FROM (tbl Work Order Item INNER JOIN tbl Work Order ON tbl Work Order Item. Parameters Dim my Param As Ole Db Parameter = my Param Collection.

Work Order Item ID,[tbl Work Order Item]Grade AS Item,[tbl Work Order Item].

I have therefore added the relevant xml, and when creating the grid, create the column as a Template Field and the Edit Item as a Drop Down List with its own Sql Data Source.

Text = Session("Address") Else lbl Company Address.

Ive tried peeking in the cell controls in the debugger and its just not there. Ive duplicated it in a simpler test page, with a test database.

From what was said in the other comment, should I be calling the Build Grid from somewhere other than Page_Load()?

What happen if you leave the Bind Grid(); at the end but call Build Grid(); before finding the ddl?
